On 1-2 December, Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis is attending the 29th Ministerial Council of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Łódź, Poland. The OSCE Foreign Ministers will meet for the first time since Russia's aggression against Ukraine began.

Landsbergis will deliver a speech at the Ministerial Council's plenary session, participate in a ministerial dinner, and discuss ways to ensure the OSCE decision-making effectiveness, strengthen the OSCE mandate, and build trust in fulfilling the overall OSCE commitments.

During the Ministerial Council, Lithuania's delegation will also attend events to discuss Russia's accountability for war crimes in Ukraine and the human rights situation in Belarus.

North Macedonia will take over the OSCE Chairmanship from Poland in 2023.
