Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis discussed joint EU action in response to China's economic pressure with Franziska Brantner, Parliamentary State Secretary in Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action
On 11 January, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis met with Franziska Brantner, Parliamentary State Secretary in Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and discussed China’s economic pressure on Lithuania, as well as the European Union's possible common decisions and measures in response to China’s economic pressure on one of the EU member states.
“Lithuania is working closely with EU institutions and member states to address the issue that is important for the EU as a whole. I will also discuss this matter with my counterparts, the Foreign Ministers of the European Union, at the upcoming informal meeting in France on Friday,” said Landsbergis.
In the meeting, Brantner also voiced Germany's solidarity and support for Lithuania.
