On April 19 in Vilnius, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabrielius Landsbergis, met with Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE). The meeting focused on the priorities of Lithuania’s Presidency of the Committee of Ministers, which will begin on May 17.

On 22 March 2024, the European Union sanctioned 33 individuals and 2  entities in response to the death of the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny in an Arctic penal colony under the EU Global Human Rights Sanctions Regime (EUGHRSR) that addresses serious human rights violations and abuses worldwide.

On 6 March, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabrielius Landsbergis, met with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, on the margins of the Congress of the European People’s Party (EPP) in Bucharest. The politicians discussed the security situation of the eastern flank, defence cooperation, support for Ukraine, and the fight against disinformation.

On 18 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, attended a session called "Adding Chairs to the Table: A Deeper, Wider, and More Capable EU?" on the main stage
of the Munich Security Conference ". It was also attended by the  Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Olha Stefanišynna, the Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, and the diplomatic advisor to the President of France Emmanuel Bonne.

On February 2-3, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabrielius Landsbergis, attended an informal meeting of Foreign Affairs Ministers (Gymnich) in Brussels. Ministers discussed further EU support, including military support and sanctions, to help Ukraine fight the widespread Russian aggression.

On 1-2 February, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis is attending the 3rd EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Brussels. The Foreign Minister will speak in a discussion on geopolitical and security challenges facing the Indo-Pacific region. Landsbergis will also meet with his counterparts from the Philippines, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Australia.
